North Charleston police on Sunday arrested a 20-year-old man accused of pointing a pistol at his sister’s head during an argument.
Desmond Skinner of Ferrara Drive in North Charleston is charged with pointing and presenting a firearm and unlawful carrying of a pistol, an incident report states.
Witnesses told officers that Skinner got into an argument with his 19-year-old sister and pointed a gun at the woman’s head at a Ferrara Drive home.
Skinner ran from the home before officers arrived, according to the incident report.
Officers searched the area and found the suspect and the pistol hidden on Woodlawn Avenue, police said.
Skinner admitted that the pistol was his, but denied pointing it at his sister, the report states. He told officers that he found the weapon about six months ago and carried it for protection.
