Tinnitus

The Summerville Tinnitus Support Group will hold its monthly meeting 6-7:30 p.m. Sept. 15 at Hearing Care of Summerville. The event is free.

Tinnitus is the perception of noises in the ears or head when no external source is present. The group will offer information, coping and stress-reduction techniques to help combat this debilitating condition.

The Summerville group meets the third Thursday of every month at Hearing Care of Summerville, 208A E. 2nd North St. in Summerville.

Alzheimer's

Monthly Alzheimer's support group meetings are offered 10 a.m.-noon the second Tuesday of each month at First Baptist Church, 141 St. James Ave., Goose Creek. The facilitator is Angela Rooman.

Meetings also are offered 7-9 p.m. the second Thursday of each month at Grace Lutheran Church, 1600 Trolley Road, Summerville. The facilitator is Gretchen Blair.

Overeaters Anonymous

Overeaters Anonymous meets at 6 p.m. each Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 St. James Ave., Goose Creek, in Room 4 of the All Ministries Building.

Eating Disorders

Eating Disorders Anonymous meets at the Sangaree Library, 595 Sangaree Parkway, Summerville, at 7 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of each month.

The 12-step group supports those with eating disorders or any type of disordered eating, as well as family members.

Depression

Depression and Bipolar Sup- port Alliance Berkeley holds meetings 7-8 p.m. every Wed-nesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 St. James Ave., Goose Creek, in Room 5 of the All Ministries Building behind the church.

The disorders have been bro- ken into two classrooms. So anyone who has bipolar disorder and has only depression problems to deal with one week can feel free to sit in with the depression group.

At the same time, those with depression do not necessarily have to sit in with those who have bipolar disorder problems.
