The third annual Goodwill Undy 500 Motorcycle Charity Ride will be Sept. 18.
The Undy 500 is a motorcycle charity ride that covers more than 100 miles of the tri-county area and helps homeless and struggling veterans as well. The ride starts at Low Country Harley-Davidson, 4707 Dorchester Road in North Charleston.
All of the proceeds will go to the annual Stand Down Event (hosted by Goodwill and the VA) and Goodwill's homeless veterans program.

The Charleston Sail and Power Squadron will teach America's Boating Course 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Sept. 24.
The course will cover coastal boating activity, including navigation basics, wind and tides, docking, VHF radio use, GPS and anchoring and boating in adverse condition. A day will be spent on the water in squadron boats to practice. Free courses will be offered for youths ages 10-18.

Walk Against Violence
The National Council of Jewish Women, Charleston Section, and the Mount Pleasant Police Department Victim Services Unite are hosting Untying the Strings of Violence, the fourth annual 5K Run/Walk Against Domestic Violence event, at 8 a.m. Sept. 25 at Mount Pleasant Waterfront Memorial Park.
All proceeds will go to help support the Domestic Violence Poster Campaign and to create an emergency fund for violence victims.
Entry fee is $20 for adults; $15 for those under 18. Register at www.ncjwcharleston.org or www.active.com. There will be an additional $5 late registration fee the day of the race. All participants will receive a T-shirt. The first 100 will receive a prize pack with products donated by sponsors. They will be available the day of the race.
