What: Help celebrate James Island's history. In 1863, the Swamp Angel Cannon exploded in the marsh off Fort Johnson. A brief talk hosted by local historian/lawyer Robert Rosen begins at 5:30 p.m. Oysters, chili, hot dogs and lemonade will follow from 6-8 p.m. A silent auction will be sponsored by the Fort Johnson Garden Club.
