HERE COMES THE SUN: Ages 6-9. Learn the basics of stitchery when you design, dye, then thread your work of a sun-inspired self-portrait with various stitches and applique. 2-4 p.m. July 16-20 at Park West. $40 resident/$47 nonresident.

QUILTING IS FUN: Ages 11 and up. This class is designed for beginners who would like to learn how to make a small patchwork quilt. 6-8 p.m. Thursdays July 12-26, Aug. 2 and 9 at the G.M. Darby Building. $45 resident/$52 nonresident, plus $10 materials fee payable to the instructor.

CITADEL CHAMPIONSHIP FUNDAMENTAL BASEBALL CAMP: This camp is designed to improve performance in all areas of the game, including pitching, catching, infield and outfield play, base running, hitting and fundamentals. TENNIS CAMPS: Tennis pros will provide high-level instruction and fun games. BOATING EDUCATION & SAFETY COURSE: All ages can learn how to properly operate all types of boats and personal watercraft and develop local knowledge of coastal rivers, channels, buoys, channel markers, and navigational techniques.
