TOTAL BODY CHALLENGE: Group exercise and fitness. 8-9 a.m. Monday-Friday. $7 per class, discounts when buying several classes. Cardio and strength training in a group setting.

ZUMBA: 6:45-7:45 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. $8 per class walk-in. Latin-inspired dancing/fitness.

Morning Yoga: 9:15-10:15 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. Strength yoga. $7 per class or $40 a month.

AFTERNOON YOGA: 12:30-2 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. $52 per month/$10 walk-in.

SATURDAY YOGA: 10-11:15 a.m. $26 per month/$10 walk-in.

SENIOR AEROBICS: 3-4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. $30 per month, drop-in $5 per class.

MAH-JONGG: 12-3 p.m. Monday. All levels welcome, beginners encouraged. Free.

PERSONAL TRAINING: $50 an hour IOP resident, $55 nonresident. 886-8294.

BOSU TRAINING: 10:30-11:30 a.m. Wednesdays and Fridays or 5:30-6:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays through May 30. $64 IOP resident/ $69 nonresident.

MIDDLE SCHOOL DANCE: 7-10 p.m. May 11. Sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders are invited to the IOP Middle School Dance with a DJ and concessions. $5 at door. Supervised by recreation staff.

BABY-SITTING COURSE: 11-14 years. 9 a.m.-4 p.m. May 12. Red Cross class teaches first aid, nutrition and baby care. Bring a pencil, paper, bag lunch and drink. $85 resident/$90 nonresident.

Piccolo Spoleto Sand-Sculpting Contest: 9 a.m. June 2. Isle of Palms front beach, free. Competitors can enter in the following divisions: Children (ages 14 and under), Young Adult (ages 15-20), Family (at least one adult and one child) and Adult (ages 21 and older). Competition starts at 9 a.m. Individual and team entries permitted. Teams limited to four people. First 200 to register are guaranteed a free T-shirt, sizes subject to availability. Registration the day of the event will begin at 8:30 a.m. or register at the recreation department or online.

Comedian Great Scott: Scott Francis, aka Great Scott, comedy magic show at 7:30 p.m. June 15 at the recreation department. Tickets will be sold in advance and at the door for $10, with no charge for children 5 and under. Visit best standupcomic.com.

2012 IOP 10K/5K Beach Run/Walk: July 28. Race starts at 8 a.m. youth fun at 9:30 a.m.

YOGA CAMP: 5-10 years. 9 a.m.-noon Aug. 6-10. Campers will participate in an age-appropriate journey through yoga, followed by related art projects, creative writing and lessons on making healthy nutritious snacks, all while having lots of fun.
