Dance programs for all ages and interests are being offered at the Casey Community Center in Goose Creek this summer.

The youngest participants can join the Mommy and Me Dance program for children ages 1 1/2-2 1/2.

Youngsters will learn the basics of ballet, tap and jazz while engaging in movement activities essential to proper development.

Part of the fun includes stretching and dancing with the help of props including dance poms, hoops and balls and ribbon sticks.

The second session of the four-week program will be offered 6-7 p.m. Wednesdays, July 14-Aug. 4. The cost per session is $40/$45 nonresident.

The Mini-Dance program for ages 3-5 presents an introduction to dance, including ballet, jazz, tap and acro. This program provides a foundation for first-time dancers.

The second session of the five-week program will be offered 5-6 p.m. Tuesdays, July 13-Aug. 10 or 6-7 p.m. Thursdays, July 15-Aug. 10. Cost per session is $40/$45 non.

Ages 6 and older can participate in the new Step/Stomp class. Step is a percussive dance that uses the entire body to create beats and movements.

Two sessions of the five-week program will be offered. Session 2: 4-5 p.m. Tuesdays, July 13-Aug. 10. $40/$45 non.

Junior Dance for ages 6-9 and Senior Dance for ages 10 and older are designed for beginners and experienced dancers looking to be challenged. These classes teach elements of jazz, modern, ballet, tap and hip-hop.

Two sessions of the five-week program will be offered. Session 2: Tuesday, July 13-Aug. 10. Juniors meet 6-7 p.m. and seniors meet 7-8 p.m. $40/$45 non.

A new adult class called Kick It Up is a cardio workout incorporating dance moves, hoops, kicks and progressive exercises similar to a dance class.

This class is available to ages 15 through adult.

Two sessions of the five-week program will be offered. Session 2: 4-5 p.m. Tuesdays, July 13-Aug. 10. $40/$45 non.
