The Lupus Listening and Learning Group holds meetings on the second Monday of every other month. They are open to lupus patients, family, friends and supporters in Greater Charleston.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness, Charleston Area, holds support groups monthly for family members and friends of those who have loved ones with mental illness and for individuals recovering from a brain disorder/mental illness.

The Palms of Mount Pleasant hosts a support group for those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

The group provides support and encouragement for those who have been diagnosed with memory loss, their caregivers and their family and friends. It meets 1-2 p.m. the first and third Monday of every month in The Palms’ private dining room. Call Kim or Marisa at 884-6949.

The Center for Women has a series of support groups. They are facilitated by licensed counselors and meet once a week for seven weeks. Registration required: $35 CFW members; $70 non.
