What: La Leche League of Charleston/West Ashley is open to all mothers and expectant mothers interested in learning more about breastfeeding or have questions. What: Mark Geesey will present "Genetic Genealogy: Investigating Your Genes to Understand your Heritage" at a Charleston chapter of S.C. Genealogical Society meeting. Using examples from his own family research, he will illustrate aspects of genetic genealogical research and discuss the relationships he found between people and the history of the area in which their ancestors lived. He is a research scientist at the Medical University of South Carolina. His talk is geared to the non-scientist and will explain general aspects of genetic genealogy.
