Camp Happy Days is recognizing pediatric cancer awareness month with a gathering of little heroes 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Riverfront Park in North Charleston.
From 3-4 p.m., there will be Italian ice and the opportunity to explore special-edition firetrucks and gain more knowledge about pediatric cancer. At 4 p.m., Dr. Michelle Hudspeth, director of the Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplantation Division at the Medical University of South Carolina Hollings Cancer Center will speak.
Then there will be a balloon ceremony over the water. The public may attend.
