Animal control officers have trapped a deer that was running free in the Ansonborough area of the peninsula.
The doe, which weighs at least 150 pounds, was vaulting between yards before officers were able to use a large net for the catch.
The deer was first spotted sprinting along East Bay Street, where it then leaped over an apartment wall at Laurens Street.
The doe did not appear to have been badly injured, although she slightly injured her nose during the commotion. Her hooves also scratched the paint of a resident's back porch.
