The Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon will host a series of Civil War lectures beginning later this month.
The series will feature historians, scholars and authors discussing subjects as diverse as secession, South Carolinians at the Battle of Gettysburg and the history of Fort Sumter.
The lectures will be held in the Great Hall of the Old Exchange Building on East Bay Street at Broad Street.
Tickets to each event are $10, or $50 for seats at all eight events.
Proceeds benefit the Friends of the Old Exchange.
Tickets can be purchased through Friends of the Old Exchange at 122 East Bay St., Charleston SC 29401.
Most events will be held on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. through mid-October, except for the Sept. 9 talk, which is on a Thursday.
