A business in Ladson will reopen Friday following a fire Thursday morning.

The blaze broke out around 11:30 a.m. at Don's Car Crushing on Royle Road, Blake Wright, general manager for the business, said.

Firefighters from multiple agencies took part in putting out the fire. The nearby C&B Volunteer Fire Department is the lead agency investigating the blaze.

Units finished mopping up the scene around 1:45 p.m., Wright said. No one was injured and there was no structural damage.

The fire appears to have started from a spark given off by machinery working on scrap cars, he said.

Don's Car Crushing will be back open to customers at 8:30 a.m.
