Investigators have identified multiple persons of interest in the case of a missing Rochester, N.Y., teen who vanished almost a year ago on a spring break trip.
Multiple media outlets reported Friday that investigators are confident the information they've received from tips is leading them into finding who is responsible for Brittanee Marie Drexel's disappearance.
Myrtle Beach Police are working with sheriff's offices in Georgetown and Charleston counties on the case.
Georgetown County Sheriff's Office spokesman Lt. Neil Johnson said no arrest warrants have been served at this time, but lie detector tests have been conducted on two of the persons of interest, according to WMBF-TV of Myrtle Beach.
Drexel last communicated with her mother in a text message sent late in the afternoon of April 25, 2009.
