Government offices and garbage

Berkeley County: Closed today, Monday and Tuesday. Landfill and convenience centers are closed Saturday and Sunday.

Charleston County: Offices are closed today, Monday and Tuesday. All Charleston County recycling convenience centers will close at 3 p.m. on Saturday except for Bees Ferry Landfill, which will close at noon, and all will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Dorchester County: Closed until Wednesday. Closed Jan. 2 for the New Year holiday.

Folly Beach: Closed until Tuesday.

Goose Creek: Closed today and Monday. No trash pick-up today or Monday. Monday pickup will be Tuesday.

Hanahan: Closed today and Monday. Monday trash pickup will be collected Tuesday; Tuesday pickup on Wednesday. Yard trash (including trees with no decorations) will be collected Thursday and Friday. Brown trash, furniture and metal will not be picked up until Jan. 7.

Isle of Palms: Closed until Tuesday. No garbage and trash collection those days.

James Island Public Service District: Offices will be closed today through Tuesday. There will be no garbage or trash collection today, but it will be collected Monday and Tuesday.

Moncks Corner: Closed today and Monday. Trash pickup as usual.

Mount Pleasant: Closed through Monday. Town garbage collection services will not change for the holidays.

North Charleston: Closed until Tuesday.

Sullivan's Island: Closed until Tuesday. Garbage and trash will be collected next Wednesday and Thursday.

Summerville: Closed until Tuesday. Closed on Jan. 2 for the New Year holiday. Trash pick-up: Check with your provider company.


The advertising, business and circulation offices of The Post and Courier, at 134 Columbus St. and 6296 Rivers Ave., will be closed Monday for the Christmas holiday.

Circulation department operators will be on hand from 7 to 8 a.m. Sunday and from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. Monday for calls about newspaper delivery.

Normal business hours for these departments will resume Tuesday.
