A Hanahan resident is offering a $1,000 reward to find out who shot her cat with an arrow.

Julia Wilson, who lives in Tanner Plantation, found 7-year-old Bear on a neighbor’s porch with an arrow in his back Tuesday morning. He was hurt so bad he had to be euthanized.

“I’m not out to get revenge or anything,” she said today. “We just don’t want this to happen to any other kid or animal.”

She put out the word on Twitter this afternoon.

She suspects some kids she saw shooting arrows up into the power lines behind her house Friday afternoon.

“I don’t think this was an accident,” she said.

Anybody with information is asked to call Hanahan police at 747-5711
