Program money for the James E. Clyburn University Transportation Center:
--$15.7 million from the U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Highway Administration for the Summer Transportation Institute, a program to spark secondary students' interest in transportation careers. The S.C. Department of Transportation also provided $130,000.
--$5.8 million from the U.S. Department of Transportation's Research and Innovative Technology Administration for faculty research and equipment.
--$2.3 million from the U.S. Department of Transportation for the Southern Rural Transportation Institute. The money was used in transportation planning.
--$245,000 from the U.S. Department of Transportation's Eisenhower Transportation Fellowship Program. The money went to students in the university's master's of transportation program.
--$281,000 from SCDOT for the Transportation Careers Training.
--$7.7 million from the U.S. Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration for the Clyburn center's Environmental Policy Institute.
