An autopsy found no evidence of trauma or foul play in the death of a Berkeley County inmate who was found dead Wednesday.
Jason Stout, 32, of Moncks Corner was found at 10:25 a.m. in his bunk at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center. County Coroner Bill Salisbury said an autopsy conducted Thursday found no sign of either trauma to the body or foul play. Results of toxicology tests are not expected to be available for several more weeks, he said.
Stout died while being held behind bars on a family court bench warrant. The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, the coroner’s office and the State Law Enforcement Division are investigating the death.
