American Red Cross volunteers helped a Summerville family of three who lost their home to fire.

The Saturday morning fire at 10929 Dorchester Road left one adult and two children homeless. The Red Cross provided the family with financial assistance to replace food and clothing lost in the blaze, as well as comfort kits which contain emergency supplies such as toiletries. The children also were given stuffed animals.
