The Post and Courier's Faith & Values section was named third best in the U.S. by the Religion Newswriters Association.
The RNA contest recognizes newspapers and religion reporters annually. This is the second time in four years The Post and Courier won in the "best religion section or pages" category.
Adam Parker is the lead writer for the section, which appears on Sundays.
Other finalists were The Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch, HoustonBelief.com (The Houston Chronicle), The Mobile (Ala.) Press-Register and The Salt Lake Tribune.
Winners were notified by phone; an official announcement will be published by RNA on Sept. 12.
