COLUMBIA — The Democratic National Committee is running more ads to criticize U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint only a few days after the South Carolina lawmaker claimed victory in knocking them off the air.

DNC spokesman Brad Woodhouse said Monday that ads critical of DeMint for trying to kill health care plans will air through Friday instead of ending on Wednesday.

DeMint's office said Friday that it had forced the DNC's ads from the air because they were untruthful.

Cable operators confirmed Monday that only a couple of ads didn't air Friday.

A Columbia cable operator is using a modified ad. A Greenville cable operator is using the original ad.
