WALTERBORO -- Deputies want to question a man in connection with a shooting Sunday that sent another man to a Charleston hospital.
Colleton County Sheriff George Malone identified the man they are seeking as Issac Mitchell "Mitch" Sanders.
The Sheriff's Office responded about 4:30 p.m. to Colleton Regional Medical Center and Gadsden Loop after reports that someone was shot and taken to the hospital. The victim, Jasper T. Farmer, 24, of Walterboro, suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. According to his mother, Farmer was beside her car, talking to her, when a vehicle drove toward them and she heard the gunshot.
She took her son to the hospital, and he was transferred to a Charleston area hospital, and was in stable condition Monday, the Sheriff's Office said.
