Berkeley County sheriff's authorities are looking for a 20-year-old man reported missing after police found his car on fire in Charleston County.

Deputies said surveillance video showed Tyreek Pettigrew was last seen at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21. He was driving a black 2007 Infiniti G35 at Fuel Express on North U.S. Highway 52 in Moncks Corner.

A neighbor told Pettigrew's mother she had spotted his car later that day. The vehicle was occupied by an unknown person who was not Pettigrew at the El Cheapo gas station on U.S. Highway 17A in Moncks Corner, according to an incident report.

Pettigrew's mother, who lives with Pettigrew on Ulmer Lane in Moncks Corner, reported him missing early Thursday, several hours after a deputy informed her that Charleston police saw the Infiniti on fire in the Cainhoy area.

The young man's cellphone pinged off a tower near Jedburg Road, the report stated.

Pettigrew is described as 5-foot-10 and 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a green and black shirt with black pants.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office at 843-719-4465.
