A security guard at a North Charleston nightclub was arrested on weapons and drug charges early Saturday after a shooting, authorities said.

About 1:50 a.m., North Charleston police were dispatched to Club Dramatic at 5075 Dorchester Road for a reported shooting and fight, according to an incident report. When officers arrived, they were told a security guard had been shot. The victim, a 48-year-old man, told police he was shot at by one of three men who were driving out of the parking lot after having been thrown out of the nightclub. The men drove off in a silver-colored Chrysler Pacifica.

The victim was taken to Medical University Hospital. His condition was unavailable.

Officers were told a female security guard at the club pulled out and flashed a handgun during the incident, police spokesman Spencer Pryor said. When officers searched the security guard and her car in connection with her arrest, they found marijuana, Pryor said.

Tara Janine Haley, 26, of Bear Island Road in Summerville is charged with unlawful possession of a pistol and with possession with intent to distribute marijuana. According to court records, Haley was being held in the Cannon Detention Center on $30,000 bail set Saturday.

Haley was awaiting trial on a charge of first-degree assault and battery in January.
