JUDGESHIP COMMITTEE: A committee that screens candidates for state judgeships will meet at 9:30 a.m. in Columbia and nominate finalists for a legislative vote. The Judicial Merit Selection Commission will evaluate applicants for 18 judgeships, including for Family Court, Circuit Court, the Court of Appeals and the S.C. Supreme Court.

BLUE RIBBON SCHOOLS: Educators from across the country will be at the North Charleston Convention Center for the 11th annual Blue Ribbon Schools "Blueprint for Excellence" conference through Saturday.
