North Charleston police are investigating a report of gunshots on a car lot.

Officers were called to Northwoods Auto Sales at 5730 Dorchester Road about 2 p.m. Saturday.

The owner told police a man and woman were talking about a car deal when a red Jeep pulled up, police spokesman Spencer Pryor said Sunday.

Four men got out and started arguing with the man who was buying the car. The man ran back to his car, got a gun and fired shots at the four men as they took off in the Jeep, the owner told police. Police stopped the Jeep on I-26 and took the men in for questioning. Nobody was hurt.

The man who reportedly fired the gun was arrested on an unrelated family court warrant, Pryor said. Police did not release the man's name Sunday.
