Mount Pleasant -- A body found in the woods behind a grocery store Friday afternoon has been identified as a homeless man.
He was Joseph Peters, 42, Charleston County Deputy Coroner Scott Ramsey said.
Teens playing in the woods behind the Piggly Wiggly in Seaside Farms found his decomposed body.
Peters apparently lived behind the store, Ramsey said. The exact cause of his death has not been determined, but foul play is not suspected, she said. It's believed he had been dead about a week when he was found, Ramsey said.
