Bank branch robbed in North Charleston

North Charleston police were looking for a man who robbed a Rivers Avenue bank branch office Wednesday.

North Charleston police were looking for a man who robbed a Rivers Avenue bank branch office Wednesday.

About 4 p.m. a man walked into the First Federal Savings and Loan office at 7850 Rivers Ave. and handed a teller a note demanding money, police spokesman Spencer Pryor said.

The robber did not display a weapon. The teller complied and the robber left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

The robber was described as a white male in his early 40s, 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a khaki baseball cap, a blue polo-style shirt with stripes, and jeans.
