North Charleston police are looking for a man who held up a Subway restaurant at 5633 Dorchester Road on Wednesday.

The robber entered the shop shortly after 2:30 p.m., pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from the cashier, police Capt. Scott Deckard said.

When the cashier could not open the cash drawer, another employee was summoned to do it. The suspect took the money and fled on foot.

Deckard said the robber was described as black, wearing a blue, long-sleeve shirt, dark pants and a black do-rag covering his head.
