CONWAY — Coastal Carolina volleyball had a pair of players receive Sun Belt Conference postseason honors, as Ella Saada and Lina Perugini were named on the All-Sun Belt teams on Nov. 15.

Saada, who was named to the All-Sun Belt first-team, led the Chanticleers in total attacks (835), kills (328) and kills per set (3.73), while also ranking in the top five in assists (19) (5th), service aces (29) (2nd), digs (148) (4th), and blocks (35) (5th). In the match against Memphis, Saada recorded her 1,000th career kill for her intercollegiate career.

The Kfar Masaryk, Israel, native was named the Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week twice (Oct. 4 and Oct. 18) for her performances against App State and Old Dominion. In the two matches versus the Mountaineers, Saada put down a combined 52 kills. Two weeks later, she followed that performance up with a 44-kill weekend versus the Monarchs that included 16 digs and five blocks.

In conference play, Saada totaled 261 spikes for a 4.08 kill per set average with 22 service aces, 116 digs, and 25 blocks.

All-Sun Belt second-team performer Perugini played in all 29 matches at libero for the Chants and totaled 463 digs on the year for a 97.0 reception percentage. The Bethlehem, Pa., native was fourth on the team with 15 service aces.

In Sun Belt action, Perugini tallied 250 digs (8th in Sun Belt) for 3.85 digs per set average and a 96.2 reception percentage to lead the way for CCU. She was second on the team with 74 assists and tallied 11 service aces to finish in third. In the final match of season, Perugini moved into second on the all-time career list with 1,664 career digs.

The Chanticleers will open Sun Belt Volleyball Championship play on Friday, Nov. 18 in Foley, Ala.
