MOUNT PLEASANT — S.C. Highway Patrol Troopers arrested a 47-year-old Mount Pleasant woman on a DUI charge related to a three-vehicle collision on Clements Ferry Road Thursday night.
Highway Patrol officials said Allen Taste, a 35-year-old Cross man, was driving a tractor-trailer south on Clements Ferry Road when Therese Jenkins pulled out from Sanders Farm Lane, attempting to turn left in her Chevrolet. The vehicles collided, and the tractor veered off and overturned.
A third driver, 47-year-old Willie Brown on Huger, was heading north on Clements Ferry Road in a Toyota at the time and also veered of the road, hitting a curb, troopers said. They arrested Jenkins on a charge of DUI.
Taste and his passenger in the tractor trailer both suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.
