Mount Pleasant man charged in pizza driver stickup

George Henry Brown

MOUNT PLEASANT -- Police investigating the armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver last month made an arrest on Thursday.

George Henry Brown is charged with armed robbery, and is scheduled to appear in bond court at 9 a.m. Friday, Mount Pleasant police Capt. Stan Gragg said.

He said Brown, 25, was taken into custody at his William Ladson Road home without incident, by members of the police department's SWAT Team.

Gragg said the robbery took place the evening of Dec. 18. The victim, delivering for Papa John's Pizza, was approached by a gunman in all black clothing, and was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash.
