Margaret Jordan Tanner of Mount Pleasant and Daniel Sherwood Miler IV of Summerville were married on Saturday, March 11, 2017.
The ceremony was held at St. Luke's Chapel in Charleston and officiated by Rev. John F. Scott.
The reception was at the Wickliffe House in Charleston.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Stafford Dale Tanner of Mount Pleasant, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Sherwood Miler III of Summerville.
The bride wore a custom French alençon lace gown made by Modern Trousseau of Charleston with her mother's veil and a bouquet by Branch Design Studio.
The maid of honor was Ms. Dominique Suzanne Cognetta of Atlanta. The matrons of honor were the groom's sisters, Mrs. Gibbon Miler Ashley of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Mrs. Chandler Miler Rackley of Charleston. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Charmian Webb Bixler of Charleston; Ms. Ellen Legare Hay of Charleston; Ms. Stephanie Wells James of Charleston; Ms. Lindsey Taylor Kaufmann of Charleston; Ms. Taryn Rose Mani of Charleston; and Ms. Margaret Ann Summers of Atlanta.
The best man was the groom's father, Mr. Daniel Sherwood Miler III of Summerville. The groomsmen were Mr. James Matheson Andrews of Mount Pleasant; Dr. Bryan Ellis Ashley of Chapel Hill, N.C.; Mr. Steven Young Burris, Jr. of Charleston; Mr. Daniel Taylor Campbell of Charleston; Mr. Franklin Davis Chandler of Johnsonville, S.C.; Mr. Phillip David Gould of Charleston; Mr. Phillip Scott McAbee, Jr. of Charleston; brother of the groom Mr. Sloan Fitzpatrick Miler of Winston-Salem, N.C.; Mr. Christopher Erik Olsen of Charleston; Mr. Eric Scott Rackley of Charleston; and the bride's brother, Mr. Stafford Dale Tanner II.
The bride graduated with honors from the College of Charleston in 2012 with a degree in biology and from the Medical University of South Carolina with a master's in physician assistant studies in 2015. She is employed by East Cooper Coastal Family Physicians.
The groom graduated with honors from the College of Charleston in 2013 with a degree in biology and is currently a fourth-year dental student set to graduate in May 2017 from the Medical University of South Carolina with a doctor of medical dentistry degree.
The bride and groom took a wedding trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and will live in Charleston.
