LINCOLNVILLE -- Authorities are looking for two men who reportedly shot a man in his leg in a robbery attempt on Friday.

Charleston County Sheriff's deputies were called at 10:50 a.m. to Summerville Medical Center, where a man was being treated for a leg wound, sheriff's Maj. Jim Brady said. He said the injured man reported he was walking from the tracks on Gahagan Road in Lincolnville when he was met by two men in the area of West Carolina Avenue and West Boundary Street. One of the men showed off a handgun and said, "'Give me what you got'," Brady said.

During a brief struggle that followed, the victim was shot in the leg. The suspects reportedly fled on foot, Brady said. He said the victim's injuries are not considered life threatening.

The robbers were both said to be black men, one about 21 or 22 years old, with dreadlocks and a teardrop tattoo by his eye; and the other, light-skinned, 18 years old with short hair and 5-feet, 9-inches tall, Brady said.

Brady said the case is under investigation.
