ANDERSON — An Anderson man has been charged with driving under the influence after a crash that injured a South Carolina Highway Patrol trooper.

Anderson County Deputy Greg Williams says 29-year-old Michael Bradley Harbin was driving south on state Highway 81 North in Anderson when he turned his pickup truck into the path of a southbound trooper’s car around 1 a.m. Tuesday.

Harbin was treated and released from the hospital before being booked into the Anderson County jail. It wasn’t known if he has an attorney.

Williams says the trooper suffered a wrist injury. The trooper’s name has not been released.
