A 19-year-old Jacksonboro man accused in a Dec. 24 armed robbery at a Ravenel gas station turned himself in to the Charleston County Sheriff's Office and was arrested Thursday afternoon, according to spokesman Maj. John Clark.
A warrant had been sworn out against Marvin Bowens Green on Wednesday, not long after investigators reviewed surveillance video of the robbery and recognized Green, according to an affidavit.
According to the affidavit signed by Det. Charles Lawrence, Green was also identified by the gas station attendant that Green allegedly threatened with handgun while stealing $60 and a pack of cigarettes.
Green, of 50 Prymus Hill Road, is charged with armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime for the robbery of the Sunoco gas station on Savannah Highway.
