LIVE TRAFFIC UPDATES - Overturned log truck shuts down U.S. 78 near Ridgeville

Traffic backs up on Interstate 26 Tuesday morning near the 208 mile marker.

Dorchester County authorities say U.S. Highway 78 is shut down after a log truck overturned near Dawson Branch Road in Ridgeville.

The wreck was reported about 12:45 p.m. in the eastbound lanes heading toward Summerville. A person was reportedly trapped inside but conscious.

Several power poles are leaning as a result of the impact.

Expect delays.

Earlier:

A two-car collision on Rivers Avenue at Greenridge Road is causing delays in the eastbound lanes this morning.

Traffic is running smoothly on Interstate 26 eastbound again.

Earlier:

Rush-hour traffic in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 26 is already backed up at the 210 mile marker.

The S.C. Highway Patrol has been out with a wreck near Eagle Drive since about 5:30 a.m. The wreck has been moved to the shoulder but traffic is backed up to the 208 mile marker.

There are also reports of a disabled tractor-trailer blocking the center lane near the Ashley Phosphate interchange at the 209 mile marker.
