The Lane, Greeleyville, and Kingstree Police Departments and the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting traffic safety checkpoints during the month of October.

The Kingstree Police Department is offering a seniors patrol wellness check. Any elderly, ill or bedridden residents of the Town of Kingstree who would like for the police department to contact them on a regular basis should call Police Chaplain the Rev. Harold Jackson. Felician Learning Center Reopens
Registrations for the free Learning Center at 908 Thorne Avenue will begin in August. This is a homework and enrichment program during the school year.
Proceeding with caution due to the ongoing pandemic, the hours of operation will be limited.
Tuesdays only for children in Kdg., Gr. 1, Gr. 2 from 2:45 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Thursdays only for children in Gr. 3, Gr. 4, Gr. 5 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Child Find Search
Williamsburg County School District is reaching families of children with special needs. If you have a child with a diagnosed disability or if you suspect that your child may have a disability, you may request a Child Find Screening by contacting Williamsburg County School District Office of Special Services at (843) 355-5533 between the hours of 8:00 am-4:00 pm, Monday- Friday. Regularly scheduled Child Find Clinics are on the second Friday of every month in room 30 at W.M. Anderson Primary School located at 500 Lexington Ave, Kingstree. Surrogate Parent Recruitment
Williamsburg County School District is recruiting individuals to serve as surrogate parents for children with disabilities enrolled in an agency who are Wards of the State or otherwise without adults to represent them in educational planning. Lake City Concert Series 2021-2022 season begins Thursday, November 18, with Ensemble Aubade (violin, flute, and piano) at the National Bean Market of South Carolina at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free.
