As Lowcountry residents get ready for the annual Relay for Life overnight event to help fight cancer, the Charleston owners of Papa Murphy’s are pitching in.
Through the end of May, all five Papa Murphy’s locations in the Lowcountry are creating special heart-shaped pizzas, and for every one sold, $2 will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
“We’ve been a part of this great cause for many years now. It’s near and dear to our hearts,” said Bobbi Gosselin, owner of Papa Murphy’s of Charleston. “Cancer touches all of our lives in some form, whether you have battled cancer or know someone who has or is fighting the disease. The Relay for Life and our heart-shaped pizzas are an emotional tribute to cancer survivors and those we’ve lost to the disease. It’s an honor to be a part of the cause and raise money to give back to those in our community.”
The heart-shaped pizzas are available by request at Papa Murphy’s in Goose Creek, West Ashley, James Island, Mount Pleasant and Summerville.
