Goose Creek police seek 'person of interest'

A woman, dubbed a “person of interest,” is shown in images taken from video cameras at the Raceway gas station on Ashley Phosphate Road.

Officials with the Goose Creek Police Department want to speak with a woman seen on surveillance footage, but they wouldn’t discuss why.

The woman, dubbed a “person of interest,” is shown in images taken from video cameras at the Raceway gas station on Ashley Phosphate Road. Police spokesman Capt. John Grainger said that at the time, she was driving a champagne- or gold-color Chevrolet Tahoe.

The police asked anyone with information about the woman’s whereabouts to call the department “as she may have information about an ongoing investigation,” they said in a statement issued this morning. They would not specify any possible charges against her.

“Our investigators do not want to share the nature of the offense this individual is of interest in at this time as it may deter from the progress in the investigation,” Grainger said in an email.
