Jimmy Noonan stepping down as football head coach, AD at Georgetown High School

GEORGETOWN — Jimmy Noonan is stepping down from his roles as varsity football head coach and athletic director at Georgetown High School.

Noonan was the head coach of the Bulldogs for the last three years, coming over from Wando High School in 2020. Noonan was 2-25 in his three seasons at Georgetown High School and 0-19 over the last two seasons.

Noonan has also been the athletic director at the school for the past three years.

"My tenure over the past three years at Georgetown High School has been a valuable experience for myself and my family," Noonan said. "Come the new year, I will be stepping down from my role as head football coach and athletic director with aspirations of retirement...maybe."

The opening for varsity football head coach for Georgetown High as been posted on the Georgetown County School District website.

"I want to thank all of the folks who had a part in this opportunity for me to teach, to coach, and to administrate here in Georgetown," Noonan said. "I want to thank the coaches and the support staff for all of their hard work and buying into our mission of developing young men over the past three years."
