Famously hot logo

With the first heatwave of 2019 upon us, I’m reminded of the City of Columbia’s staggering 2017 marketing mistake in dropping the memorable and effective “Famously Hot” logo/slogan in favor of the dull-as-dirt “Block C” logo/slogan.

I addressed the issue then in CityWatch, and wouldn’t change a word today. Go read that 2017 column now. And I would urge readers who share this view to contact Mayor Benjamin and City Council members and tell them we want our slogan back!
