The Columbia Police Department has warrants for the arrest of a man who allegedly shot two people early Sunday morning at a Five Points bar.

Authorities are seeking Marlon Adam White, 22, and plan to charge him with two counts of attempted murder and weapons possession. The shooting in question happened at about 2 a.m. Sunday at The Cotton Gin.

The suspect and an employee of the bar reportedly got into an argument after the suspect was told to leave the bar, which is located on Harden Street in the popular college nightlife district.

"As suspect White was being escorted out of the business, he’s accused of shooting the employee in the leg," a release from CPD says. "As the bullet exited the first victim, it struck the second victim, a patron, in the leg."

The injuries were not life threatening.
