Life in the Capital City has changed drastically in the past couple weeks in response to the spread of COVID-19. The city's typically robust schedule of spring events has been decimated by cancellations and postponements. Restaurants and bars have struggled to find ways to continue with Gov. Henry McMaster having ordered the closure of South Carolina dining rooms. Columbia citizens now live under a daily 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew. These images capture scenes from the city last week, as the profound slow down was really starting to sink in. Photos by Thomas Hammond
