Local Buzz Coffee

The Local Buzz's cold-brew coffee

It feels like The Local Buzz has been a longtime Rosewood/Shandon establishment, but they’ve only been there three years — and are celebrating by getting larger. Owner Stephanie Bridgers has taken over the space to the left of the shop, the former European Market, to create a market-meeting space that opened this past weekend.

The space can hold about 70 people standing, or closer to 30-40 for a seated event. The furniture includes a large sofa and armchairs to create a cozy atmosphere. The market, full of local items from Sunrise Artisan Bath and Body, bouquets from Floral & Hardy, local pottery and art, retro candy, and local craft beer in addition to the cafe’s locally roasted coffee beans, will be around the perimeter of the meeting space.

“We have been renting out The Local Buzz so frequently for community meeting space and we felt bad for closing the shop for events and people couldn’t hang out, so when the landlord had the space next store come available he asked if we were ready,” Bridgers says.

And ready they were. Bridgers adds that they have already received a large number of requests to book the space, which will have the same hours as the coffee shop and will be available for evening rentals as well. Inquire within or call 803-602-5166 about rentals.
