Fried Egg

Find that eating a ketogenic diet is hard? Keto, as it is called for short, is a high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet that forces the body to burn fats rather than carbohydrates. Like any diet, it has its fans and its detractors, but it seems to be here to stay.

In fact, it seems here to stay so much that a boutique catering to people following this diet has opened in Northeast Columbia. The Keto Boutique is dedicated to keto products and is owned by Kisha Morgan, a keto coach who teaches people how to adhere to the diet and make it a lifestyle.

The Keto Boutique features ketogenic-approved groceries.

“We wanted to put everything in one place to make it more convenient for people to buy keto products,” Morgan says.

Some of her most popular products are flavored coffee syrup and sugar-free candies. On Saturdays, she has outside vendors come in to sell keto-approved products, including fresh produce.

“A lot of people don’t want to do what they think is a diet because they think it is bland,” Morgan says. “We also offer coaching services that teach people how to do the keto lifestyle in a healthy way.”

The Keto Boutique is located at 1053 B Sparkleberry Lane Extension and is open Monday through Saturday.
