This jam-packed showcase of indie and outsider rap and electronic music comes courtesy of the Charleston collective Raisedbyfilm and the innovative DIY event creators in Columbia’s own Scenario Collective, which begins a residency at Tapp’s Art Center with this show. The Moon Moths — a Scenario-affiliated group that pairs emotional, earnest rapping with brash, kaleidoscopic indie pop — tops the bill of likeminded acts. Some, like Lavier and BOY LEGS, share Moon Moth’s penchant for kinetic flow and emo-raps over moody soundscapes. Others, like the producer/beat maker Contour, share the group’s adventurous spirit and hip-hop heterodoxy. Details beyond the lineup are scant — aside from the intriguing if vague theme “Embryoasis” and the fact that the show is now free in an effort to attract attendees of the Black Lives Matter vigil at the State House. But knowing Scenario, expect the unlikely and unexpected. With Billie Fountain, Warholtheghost!.
