SENECA — Former Seneca police officers are denying allegations of sexual harassment that led them to leave the department.
Two officers were fired and another resigned under pressure after the allegations were made by a female employee last year.
Records from the Criminal Justice Academy show Rory Jones resigned and Treaco Hoover and Jesse Harris Jr. were fired. Another officer was demoted.
The three former officers told WSPA-TV they are innocent.
Seneca Police Chief John Covington told WYFF-TV there is another side to the officers’ stories, but he cannot talk about it because of pending litigation.
The Anderson Independent-Mail says Harris is working for the Williamston Police Department. Police Chief Jay Grubbs says Harris told him about the allegations before he was hired. Grubbs says his department cleared Harris to work.
