“A few of us got together and said Charleston is seriously missing out of some delicious food by no longer having an Ethiopian restaurant,” a recent post on Tin Roof’s Facebook page announced, promising vegan and vegetarian options at the Mar. 6 meal.
Owner Erin Tyler declined to comment on the event beyond promising that another dinner is in the works for April, saying she’s already fielded “a huge response.”
According to the Facebook post, the dinner will be prepared in collaboration with guest chef Veronica Campbell. Tin Roof hasn’t yet announced a ticket price or menu, although there’s been online chatter about the requisite injera and beef tibs.
