Bougnat’s closing in January spelled the end of escargot and coq au vin at Belle Hall shopping center, but the defunct restaurant’s address will remain a source of French cuisine.

Saveurs du Monde Café is today opening its second location at the Mt. Pleasant site, according to an announcement by the Alliance Française de Charleston. Uli and Jennufer Tombuelt will operate the store, offering the same menu available at the original cafe in Seaside Farms.

Christiane and Thierry Chateau in 2014 opened Saveurs du Monde with the intention of franchising the concept. The café serves an extensive menu of crepes, tartines and quiches, as well as an array of traditional French pastries.

The new store is located at 536 Belle Station Boulevard. For more information, visit saveursdumondecafe.com.
